In-home pet sitting in London

Our live-in pet sitting is £50 a night for cats and small pets, £55 for small dogs up to 15kg and £65 for large dogs over 15kg. Every night is 20% cheaper on stays of 7 nights or more, 30% on 14 nights or more and 40% on 28 nights or more. Each additional pet is £10 a night for a cat or small pet and £15 for a dog. Every sit includes a free meet and greet and daily updates, with no hidden extras.

We stay in your home for the full duration of your trip, caring for your pet in their own environment. Your pet keeps their normal routine throughout: their own bed, their usual walks and their usual mealtimes.

Yes, that is exactly what we do. We live in your home for the full duration of your trip, sleeping there every night, so your pet has company in the evening, overnight and first thing in the morning, just as they would with you.

A live-in pet sitter stays in your home for the whole time you're away, sleeping there every night and looking after your pet and your home. It's different from drop-in visits, where a sitter calls in once or twice a day. Live-in sitting is the service we offer.

Yes. We're insured with Protectivity, a specialist pet business insurer, and our policy includes £1 million of public liability cover for our pet sitting. You also meet us at a free meet and greet before we ever stay in your home.

We both work flexible schedules, so between the two of us one of us is almost always at home. Your pet is rarely, if ever, left on their own during a sit.

Yes. We are experienced with pets who need medication, special diets or more attentive care, including elderly and anxious pets. Just share the details when you get in touch.

Before the sit, we take your vet's details, your pet's medical history and an emergency contact. If your pet is unwell or hurt, we take them to your vet, or the nearest emergency vet out of hours, and let you know straight away. Vet treatment is paid for by you or your pet insurance, so please leave your policy details with us too.

There's no minimum notice. Send us your dates and we'll tell you within 24 hours whether we're free. As it's always the two of us, we can only take on so many sits, so the earlier you ask, the better your chances.

We sit for dogs who are comfortable with people and reasonably well trained. We do not take on dogs with a history of aggression, so that every sit is calm and safe for your pet, your home and us. If you are unsure, tell us about your dog at the meet and greet.

Fill in the quote form with your dates, your pet's details and your area. We reply within 24 hours to confirm availability and arrange a free meet and greet. Once everyone is happy, the sit is confirmed with a 30% deposit, and the balance is due 14 days before the sit starts.

You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of booking, as long as the sit hasn't started. After that, we keep your dates free and turn down other sits, so charges depend on notice: we keep the 30% deposit if you cancel 29 or more days before the sit, 50% of the total from 8 to 28 days before, and the full price within 7 days. If we fill your dates with another sit, we refund what you paid for those nights, minus the deposit. Full details are in our terms.

For most pets, yes, particularly those who are anxious, elderly or used to a quiet home. In-home sitting means your pet keeps their routine, sleeps in their own bed and stays somewhere they already feel settled.

London kennels and catteries typically charge £25 to £45 per pet, per night, so in-home sitting is often comparable once you have more than one pet, or once you are away for a month, when our rate drops to £30 to £39 a night. It also includes things boarding cannot: your pet stays in their own home, your house is occupied while you are away, and plants, post and deliveries are looked after.
